I bought this book for my son who’s soon leaving for college, in different city, for the first time. I find this book perfect for my son and any college student because the recipes included are quick and easy to make and the author definitely seems to have taken into consideration that college students don’t have much time to give to cooking and looking for elusive ingredients.

The book starts off by covering the basics of what food components actually make a meal nutritious, what kind of foods must be avoided etc. And then it goes on to share several recipes for a complete meal, lunch/dinner as well as easy-to-make desserts! I tried the banana bread recipe and my son made mushroom pie, both turned out delicious!

Something I really like and appreciate in this book is that before every recipe, it describes why that meal is healthy and wholesome, especially for a college student. The author has also highlighted interesting facts about the ingredients used in the recipes. A few I liked were, how cabbages can be used in various ways, health benefits of coriander, and how it works nicely as a natural spice. This book actually takes you through the cooking process for each recipe so it’s great for beginners and even people who are already good at cooking but are looking for some solid healthy food info and some awesome recipes. Excellent value for money. Highly recommended.

This books is extremely useful because it contains numerous recipes and ideas for any college student. There are a lot of good techniques and concepts in here to making eating & cooking easier and healthier. You are what you eat, and unfortunately in college the usual diet is Ramen and coffee (not the best). This book shows you a lot of heathy meals that are quick and taste good too.
When my exams are approaching at College, I go through a phase of a lot of stress and as a result I eat a lot of junk food (chocolate, coffee, candy...) I get a high from the sugar, but then my energy levels crush and I feel really unhealthy inside, it's a horrible feeling. I decided to change and that's why I bought this book, let me tell you that the recipes of these wonderful meals are so easyyyyy, you don't have to spend a lot of time on the kitchen to cook "good food" and it makes you feel so good inside. I have been much more productive studying and focused thanks to my new found health and vitality.
If you want to succeed in college you've got to have a nutritious diet, this is easier said then done however when you're studying for mid-terms and living the college lifestyle. Albert truly has put together some fantastic recipes and advice in this book, I bought this book just over a week ago and have already found a few new favourite meals ) not to mention my energy levels are through the roof.

As a parent of a college student who actually wanted to eat real food and lived in an apartment during college, a book like this one would have been a godsend. Good food and sleep are essential to college survival and this book is a great resource. After a beginning section on basic health and diet guidance, the book goes into recipes right away. Recipes are healthy, easy to follow and not too time consuming. Highly recommend this one!
I found this book to be very helpful. As a college student, I've realized that healthy eating is very important. With this book, I've solved that problem. This book provides many great healthy meals that you can eat & prepare without interfering with your busy day-to-day life. I've been using this for a few days, and it's really helping me. Eating more healthy is significantly making my daily stress & workload easier to deal with.
