I loved this book! The characters are very well developed. The author is very consistent with her character development which allows the reader to get to know the characters and react to the characters--love them, hate them, be annoyed by them and care for them. I love the twists and turns in the book. At every page I could not wait to read the next page. It is very easy to write this genre similar to other authors in an "I've read this before" kind of way--but that is not what this author did. She made this book very much her own with a lot of unique twists. I fell in serious like with the main two characters. And the supporting characters are equally as important and add so much to the book. As soon as I finished this book I went on to the next. Fantastic read. I hope this author continues to write the story of Van and Caine!Product details

So it was a little slow in the beginning but once I got into it I couldn't put it down
This is the best book I have read in a long time. Couldn't put it down until I finished it. Made me cry because it was so good.
Great character development and story line with lots of twists that will make the arrival of the next book a gift of it's own!
this book is amazing by the end of the first chapter i was hooked and couldn't put it down. its different than anything else ive read but it is by far the best book ive read in quite a while.
Highly recommend giving this new author a try. Great story line, caught my attention from the beginning. I cared about the characters and what happened to them. Looking forward to book 2.

OMG!! I love this book!! I had no idea what I was getting myself into, I just wanted to read something different and I did. This new world where you have Gifted and Mundane living together made for an interesting read. Love Van and all the supporting characters. So Van has been keeping a secret from everyone and there is a mad man kidnapping people with Gifts. I can’t wait to find out what happens next with Van and Caine?!?!
